The opportunity
As our services and teams grow so does the value in enhancing our IT systems and security. We are now at a pivotal stage of the business where there is ample opportunity to improve operations through the aid of a strong IT team, while it is also key that we get solid cyber security in place as we scale into a large FSP.
We are looking for a Senior IT Technician who is detail-oriented, technically-minded, a great problem-solver, a fantastic communicator and who is keen to spearhead the above.
What you’ll do
The primary goal of the IT Technician is to improve cyber security while delivering efficiency-focused IT solutions, enabling our team to focus on their core responsibilities without disruptions. As part of this role, your team will be the first point of contact for all IT-related matters, providing prompt support and solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Test and implement apps and software, automate processes, create tutorials and occasionally assist clients with technical issues.
- Provide general IT support to our team, including troubleshooting and repairing of hardware and software issues, sourcing necessary gear, advice and tips, upgrades, licence allocation and Exchange settings.
- Assist the Operations team with various IT tools, e.g. e-signing, cloud storage, form plugins, bank interfaces, etc.
- Implement and maintain cyber security policies and systems to keep our clients’ funds safe.
- Drive cyber security awareness through training and threat simulations.
- Maintain and improve the website.
- Manage VOIP/SIM solutions for client-facing staff.
- Assist employee onboarding including gear selection, setup, account and licencing management, etc.
What you’ll need
- 3-4 years experience in an IT role
- A diploma or degree in Information Technology
- Experience using Microsoft enterprise solutions (any relevant certifications are beneficial)
- Web development experience (HTML, CSS, JS) is ideal but not required
- Experience in the finance space is helpful, but not necessary
- Fluent in English, and excellent communication skills
- Highly organised with an affinity towards keeping things neat and tidy
- Deliverable focused with an eye for detail
- A start-up mindset, comfortable with products failing and having to be rapidly iterated
- Comfortable as a self-starter working remotely
